Unwanted

 
 

You picked me up from the crowds. Clothed me in glamor and sparkles. Flaunted me in front of your friends. You made me yours. 

 
 

And in return, I brought light in your life. I bore enviable gifts for you. I gave you immeasurable joy.

 
 

But then, as if my time was up. You stripped me off. You threw me out like trash. You left me in the dark.  

 
 

And now I am waiting in the cold, for someone to take me away. To a better place, or worse? Only time will tell.
