Gifs have revolutionised the way we communicate with each other digitally; These repetitive short animated images have become far more adept in conveying one’s emotional or mental state than plain text. Living gif is a live performance inviting the contemporary technology of gifs into the live art arena, by enacting short performative situations in a mechanically repetitive manner, aiming to examine how an audience reacts to the live art equivalent of gifs.

The live performance was presented as part of the 'Actions x m2' by La Juan Gallery at #TRIBE16 Art Festival held at the Ugly Duck space on the 1st and 2nd of October 2016. A second version of Living Gif was also presented at Static - an art exhibition at the Stanley Picker Gallery.
